Meet Our Animals

Come spend an hour with some of the animals who make Sowa so special.

During our one-hour group tour, you’ll meet rescued goats, sheep, cows, pigs, and other residents while hearing their stories and learning about life at the sanctuary. Tours are relaxed and personal, with plenty of time to get to know the animals along the way.

Looking for a more personal experience? Private tours with Sowa’s Founder and Executive Director, Olivia, are available for individuals and small groups. You’ll have more time with the animals, hear their stories in greater depth, and get a behind-the-scenes look at their care and life at Sowa. Private tours are $100 per person for one hour and can also be added to a private event or corporate retreat.

FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my kids?

Children ages 12 and up are welcome to interact with the animals on our tours but for safety and liability reasons we do not allow younger children to go into the pastures or barns with our animals. They are, however, welcome to see them through the fences and gates from a safe distance.

Can I take photos on the tour?

Yes! You are more than welcome to take photos for personal use, but we do not allow photos to be used for commercial or fundraising purposes without our written consent. If you post any photos to your social media, please tag us @sowagoatsanctuary!

What if I bought tickets for a tour but can’t make it?

You are welcome to reschedule the tour one time with 24 hours notice at no charge. If you need to reschedule more than once, you will need to purchase new tickets.

If you cancel your tour with less than 24 hours notice, we will not be able to issue a refund.

What should I wear on the tour?

We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes and clothes that will keep you comfortable in the elements for the duration of your tour. Goats love to chew on zippers, shoelaces, and sweatshirt ties so we recommend avoiding wearing those unless you don’t mind them getting chewed on!

While we keep our barns and pastures as clean as possible, there is still an abundance of poop so please wear shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
