Enrico was rescued from a neglect case after his herd was abandoned in the middle of winter with no food, water or proper shelter. Many of his friends passed away before law enforcement intervened but thankfully he survived. Enrico is CAE positive and arrived with severe, painful arthritis in his front legs. It had become so painful he stopped walking on his right front leg and it became contracted at a 90º angle. We developed this blend as part of his pain management protocol and have gone on to use it for many other goats with mobility challenges. Today Enrico walks completely normally and lives a beautiful, comfortable life here at the sanctuary.

  •  Arthritis, CAE virus, and mobility challenges
  • Elderly goats
  • Recovery from strains or injuries
  • Long-term mobility and comfort
  • Pair with Tess’s TLC Blend and Sowa Seeds for a complete herbal support system for elderly and mobility-challenged goats
  • Small breed goats: 2 teaspoons/day
  • Medium breed goats: 1 tablespoon/day
  • Large breed goats: 2 tablespoons/day

To get the most benefit from this blend, it should ideally be given with a small amount of olive oil or flaxseed oil to enhance the absorption of the anti-inflammatory compounds in the turmeric.

The oil can be incorporated into herbal dosage balls (see our herbal administration guide) or given as a drizzle over a bowl of Timothy pellets with the herbal blend sprinkled on top. If your goats are averse to the oil, the blend will still be effective and can be omitted.

  • Use with caution in goats with a history of oxalate urinary crystals or stones as turmeric contains oxalates
  • Use with caution in pregnant does
