What a beautiful space and healing experience! This is Airbnb is a goat sanctuary that protects, sheep, chickens, turkeys and obviously goats from cruelty and abuse. The animals are in amazing, clean and enriched spaces. You get a tour of the sanctuary and the best part, you get to spend time with the lovely animals. Olivia told us the story of each one and was so open and welcoming to all my questions. I’ve never seen friendlier goats in my life! They will solicit pets and curiously sniff and lick you ? The room was oh-so-beautiful! Big open space, clean and bright with views of the animals. They have a lovely bath and multiple shower systems to pick from. In the room they had a large tv with streaming services, books about goats and useful information with nearby restaurants and activities. Jim and Olivia were lovely and welcoming hosts, I was inspired but their big hearts and beautiful mission. - Mariana

First, the space: the Airbnb is so perfectly bright & comfy, and extremely clean. The loft has three sections (plus a private bath): the bed and reading nook, the kitchen/breakfast area, and the sitting area with couch and TV. All of them are very cozy. There are really cute details from the Sowa logo mugs to the beautiful artwork featuring the Sowa residents on the walls. It is a quiet, peaceful area with lots of places to eat or shop that are not too far away. The windows of the loft offer a great view of the sanctuary property and during the day you can see the goat residents playing outside their barn as well as the chickens, rooster and turkey running around their coop. The hosts: I honestly can’t say enough about how kind both Olivia and Jim were during my stay. It’s obvious how much they love their animals and I really appreciate all the time I got to spend loving on their special goats. They also did not seem to mind answering the many questions I’d ask about each goat. They are really very welcoming hosts. The Sanctuary: The sanctuary itself is a beautiful area on a lovely piece of property. You can tell how much thought and care has gone into each area. The Sowa residents are truly lucky to get to spend the rest of their days here. Looking forward to coming back again for another stay! - Kathryn

This was such a special stay. The loft is so cozy, comfortable and PRISTINE, especially considering the property is also an animal sanctuary. The views of the animals from the room was so comforting—you could even see them from the shower/(heavenly) bath. Olivia was such a kind and helpful host, and the animals (goats, sheep, birds) were so friendly and silly. 10/10 would come back again. - Heather
